Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider the suffering Kenyans are going through, with the Head of State set to give directives on the possible reopen of the economy on Monday. Barasa has urged President Kenyatta to reopen the economy, and allow Kenyans to go back to their businesses fully.
Speaking in his constituency, he said small businesses have performed dismally due to the Coronavirus pandemic, noting that people should be allowed to resume their businesses. He also urged the Head of State to allow KCPE and KCSE candidates to resume their classes, and that proper social distancing measures should be put in place for them, among other measures including mandatory wearing of masks.
