The County government of Nandi is nurturing talents through sporting activities, pointing out the need to improve other training grounds to nurture more talents as Nandi. Speaking to West FM the County Sports CEC Elly Kurgat said the County government of Nandi is looking forward to ensuring no talent goes unexplored by ensuring all sports fields are renovated.
Kurgat said the multi million Kipchoge sports complex in Kapsabet showground, is nearing completion and will be launched soon. He said the sports complex upon its completion will provide a stable ground to nurture talents from schools within the County in an aim to improve livelihoods.
The complex named after Kenya’s long distance running legend Eliud Kipchoge has a state of the art gym, a conference hall, training track, athletes lounge, main offices, physiotherapy room, a hundred bed capacity hostel and a restaurant.
