The Nandi County government through the department of health and sanitation has officially opened the Kitaor dispensary in Kemeloi/Maraba ward in Aldai whose official launch had stalled for more than 19 years. Speaking during the official opening of the facility, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said his administration is committed to ensuring health services are brought closer to the public and urged the area residents to utilize the facility well.
He noted that his government is building and at the same time renovating the existing health centers across the County so as to keep the residents from traveling long distances in search of health services because they have been brought closer to them.
Nandi County has more than 150 health facilities across the six sub-counties, with 2 being County facilities. The Governor has vowed to ensure the facilities are well equipped with constant supply of drugs without failure.
