The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU) are determined to host a huge doctors’ assembly at RFUEA grounds along Ngong Road in Niarobi.
According to the latest post on X, KMPDU advised all doctors, medical interns, and medical students to attend the meeting on Tuesday 2nd April 2, 2024 where they shall discuss pressing matters regarding doctors’ welfare.
As the planned doctors meeting in Nairobi is awaited, the KMPDU Nyanza branch is set to hold a peaceful demonstration in Kisumu today, rallying medics from Kakamega and Kisumu counties.
This follows last week’s demonstrations where doctors from Nakuru, Meru, Nairobi, and Eldoret counties took to the streets to push the government to heed their call.
As the nationwide doctors’ strike continues to paralyze medication services in the country, KMPDU Secretary General Davji Atellah has reiterated that they will not return to work until their demands are met.
