Following the rising cases of the Coronavirus countrywide, businessmen in Trans Nzoia have taken the initiative of sensitizing the business community and County residents on infection prevention measures. Led by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Trans Nzoia chapter chairman Martin Waliaula confirmed they have taken the step to sensitize residents.
He said the relationship and communication between the business community and customers on the best ways to keep safe regarding Covid-19 infection isn’t good, “Businessmen have been complaining about the manner in which customers are not cooperating well with them to control the spread of the virus,” he said “They go to buy stuff without wearing masks and when asked they threaten to leave the shops and the seller ultimately bows to their threats.”
He said KNCCI will educate their customers and the business community on the importance of wearing masks and urged the public to respect the Ministry of Health directives of combating the spread of the virus. He further appealed to the business people not to offer any services to customers that will visit their premises without wearing masks.
