Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi has called upon Azimio leadership to call off demonstrations that they have called and allow Kenyans go on with their businesses.
Speaking after touring St. Thomas Lunyu secondary school, the Ford Kenya Deputy party leader wondered why Azimio leadership has not called off demonstrations in the country that’s led to loss of lives and destruction of properties.
The legislator criticized the level of harassment by Azimio leadership followers in the country challenging the level of destruction that has been done by demonstrators.
Wanyonyi however called upon Trans Nzoia residents to ignore calls by Azimio leadership that wants them to engage in unlawful protest.
He challenged DAPK party leader and former Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa to make good threats he made of signature collection against MPs allied to Kenya Kwanza as well as President Ruto claiming his efforts will not materialize promising to stop him.
Police officers in Kitale foiled demonstrations attempt by youths allied to Azimio leadership at Laini Moja area of Kitale town
The youths had started lighting fire along Laini Moja of Kitale before police moved in swiftly to stop the demos that youths had planned.
However, several locals within Kitale town that we spoke to expressed mixed reactions following the ongoing demonstrations, some calling Azimio leadership to call off demonstrations as they claimed its hurting the economy.
Other locals called upon the Azimio leadership to continue pushing the government in bid to make sure the rising cost of living is normalized.
They noted that they are leading a hard life.
