Five people from Azimio and Kenya Kwanza political divide have recorded statements to the DCI office in Kitale following the clashes that erupted during the burial of the County Health staff Sandra Nyongesa at Goseta area in Kwanza Sub County, Trans Nzoia County in which two factions one supporting Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula clashed
The five; Governor Natembeya’s PA Emmanuel Wamalwa, Anthony Ombima Bodaboda chairerson, Fredrick Ndubi head for reinforcement, John Wafula liaison officer and former Kapomboi MCA who was also Bodaboda chair Ben Wanjala Mlipuko recorded their statements before the DCI as they divulged more on what transpired at the funeral of the County Health staff.
DCI Officer Chief Inspector George Nyakundi who is leading investigations disclosed that several individuals among them politicians have been lined for interviews this week and that the exercise will run for the rest of the week.
Youths supporting Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and those supporting National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula engaged in a brawl at a funeral that was attended by both leaders forcing the church to proceed with the burial as heckling escalated and turned ugly with both leaders watching the scenes and later on blamed each other for being the cause.
