Leaders in Lugari constituency have appealed to the investigative team to hasten probe into the gruesome murder of three security guards at Kivaywa Boys High School last Thursday.
Led by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) director of communications, Philip Akunda Etale, the leaders condemned the brutal murder of the three guardS saying detectives should enhance their investigations to bring the suspects to book.
Etale expressed his disappointment with the way in which Edward Malala Wanyanma (40), Henry Khaoya (55) and Evans Wanyonyi (56) were murdered in cold blood by a group of gangsters in unclear circumstances while on duty.
Citing the manner in which the attack was executed, Etale argued that it was well planned by people conversant with the school urging the security team to come out and expedite their investigations over the matter to ensure the suspects are arrested and charged before the court of law.
He urged security apparatus in the area to beef up patrols and assure residents maximum security saying residents are now living in fear following the murder of the three guards.
“Our security is paramount and as leaders we cannot just sit and watch as our people continue suffering at the hands of gangsters,” said Etale.
He used the opportunity to send a condolence message to the families of the three slain guards and wished quick recovery to the one who is recuperating at the Webuye County hospital.
