A new umbrella of the West Media Company radio station Mumbo FM fans has been launched in Lugari sub county with members promising to work together for the sake of development.
Speaking during the event held at Lugari station market which brought together eleven groups from across the sub county, the umbrella chairperson Ms. Rebecca Koyonjo said the umbrella targets to roll out several projects aimed at economically empowering its members.

She said the Lugari umbrella will focus on several activities ranging from trade, health, table banking, social welfare among others that will benefit members. “Divided we will do little but with this strength of unity we can move mountains and change our lives, our sub county and even the County at large in terms of development by actively participating in serious income generating activities,” said Ms. Koyonjo.
She called for maximum respect from all members and also transparency and accountability for the umbrella to succeed in its programme.

Addressing the fans, ODM director of communication Philip Etale reiterated impotence of groups promising to work closely with them to ensure success. “This is a good initiative and I promise to stand with you in every move you make,” said Etale.
Etale pledged a donation of 330 chairs to the umbrella by the end of March which will be distributed among the eleven groups with each getting 30 chairs.
