As members of the public raise concern over the Ministry of Health’s inability to carry out contact tracing and other issues as Covid-19 cases continue to rise, Lugari MP Ayub Savula has called upon his constituents to adhere to the MOH’s directives on combating the virus.
Speaking in his constituency Savula said County governments do not have the capacity to either protect or offer proper medical care to the victims of the virus hence the need to apply caution even as the national government pushes Counties to elevate levels of preparedness.
Savula said each ward needs at least 100 bed capacity modern hospitals to see to it that members of the public receive proper medical care.
He however took a swipe at a section of members of the Senate who are objecting the revenue sharing formula saying that the move denies the Kakamega County government Kshs 900 million that would be prudent in providing proper healthcare and other services.
