Afterwards, the Lugulu Boarding primary school pupils queued and elected their school president, deputy president, the speaker and the deputy speaker, in an exercise that took more than three hours. The school head teacher Mr. Patrick Wangatia lauded the exercise and thanked the teachers for organizing the exercise. He added that the pupils were happy to be given a chance to exercise their constitutional right.
He said that during the pupils’ campaign period, they noted what the children raised as pertinent issues and what was lacking and that as the administration they’ll move to correct the issues and support the elected leadership, which will serve for a one year term.
