Governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged leaders from the Mulembe nation to set aside differences and unite to increase their political influence on the national stage.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving service at King Jesus Faith Ministries in Bungoma, Lusaka highlighted the importance of solidarity among leaders from Western Kenya to amplify the region’s political voice.
“We made a deliberate step as Western Kenya governors to unite all leaders in the region under one voice. This is the only opportunity to walk the talk,” Lusaka remarked during his speech, underscoring the critical role unity plays in shaping the region’s political future.
Lusaka further emphasized the strategic importance of Western Kenya in the upcoming 2027 general elections, pointing out the region’s significant voting bloc that could potentially sway national outcomes. His message resonated with a gathering of political figures, including Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma, who echoed Lusaka’s call for visionary leadership to push the Mulembe nation toward greater political and economic influence.
“We must lead with purpose and unity if we are to chart a new political course for our people,” Dr. Otuoma said in his address.
Other notable attendees included Vihiga Deputy Governor Wilberforce Kitiezo, Bungoma Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany, and Kanduyi MP John Makali.
