Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on his Trans Nzoia counterpart, Governor George Natembeya to tone down his onslaught on the National Assembly Speaker, Dr. Moses Wetangula.
Speaking to Kaptama residents in Mt Elgon, at the launch of Ngweyo Butaki Foundation, Governor Lusaka, cognizant of the impact of divisive politics on development, urged elected leaders to bury their political differences for the common good of their electorate.
“Leaders are societal mirrors, duly elected in different capacity to represent the public interest. As we endeavor to deliver for our people, we should shun divisive politics and embrace each other.” He expressed.

Similarly, the Governor encouraged communities in the County to uphold their rich cultural heritage for ecotourism.
“Our culture is our true heritage. It defines our origin. Let us trace back to our roots, exploit our indelible mark for ecotourism.” He asserted .
The County Boss was flanked by the Deputy Governor , Janepher Mbatiany, MCAs; Hon.Francis Chemion (Kaptama),Hon.Grace Sundukwa (Sitikho),Hon.Tony Barasa (Lwandanyi),Eng.Agnes Wachiye ,CECM for Gender,Youth and Sports among others .
