Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on opposition supporters to stop destruction of properties during their anti government demonstrations.
Speaking in Kitale during the launch of the Trans Nzoia County CIDP, Lusaka said it was sad seeing Azimio supporters destroying properties that have cost the tax payers billions of money to construct.
“Your Governor Natembeya and I are in different political camps, but when he invited me for this event I couldn’t hesitate despite our different political affiliations, there is more we can gain working together.” Said Lusaka.
He called on the opposition leaders and their supporters to picket peacefully for the government to listen to them.
“Once you engage in the destruction of properties you will be destroying your own country, let’s be very keen because not to cause unnecessary destruction,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lusaka lauded Natembeya for launching his development plan noting that he will also be launching his in the coming days.
