The Senate Speaker Kenneth Makelo Lusaka who is also hunting for Bungoma gubernatorial seat has scoffed at Bungoma County employees especially newly appointed village administrators for engaging in politics which is against the law and at the same time dismissing rumors from some County officials that he will sack all the village administrators if elected terming the rumors as the last kicks of a dying horse.
While addressing the residents of Webuye East constituency in different places, Lusaka said that the current regime is misusing the staff that should be neutral in politics something that contravenes the government policy about the Employment Act and appealed to the civil servants to stop being used and remain neutral and serve the community without biasness.
Lusaka added that it’s even more saddening to see that some County workers engage in bullying people especially at funerals and asked all politicians across the political divide to shun from divisive politics and instead preach peace as Bungoma County has always been a haven and appealed to youths to stop being used by politicians for their own gain.
While addressing the residents of Wabukhonyi and Misemwa villages in Ndivisi ward, Lusaka criticized the current regime for reducing the bags of fertilizers from 750 that was being given during his regime to less than 100 bags as he condemned those who were saying that he used to give soil in form of fertilizer saying Wangamati regime has failed farmers and are now looking for excuses.
He promised to double the fertilizer for the farmers in the County if given an opportunity to be the Governor in the forthcoming general election and appealed to Bungoma residents especially of Webuye East constituency to back his bid.
He defended his previous track record saying he had a budget of 6 billion against the 9 billion shillings that the current government is enjoying adding that he would have done much had he had such big budget and being the pioneer Governor had no reference of service.
