Governor Kenneth Lusaka has today launched a five year strategic plan for Kimilili Sub- County hospital, a document that will guide the hospital to achieve major infrastructural development, quality service delivery, Human resource and attainment of Referral status.
Speaking during the launch, Lusaka emphasized on the need to focus on primary health saying that his administration intends to upgrade and equip Sub-County hospitals and dispensaries to make health services accessible to every resident of Bungoma.
“We are going to transform our primary health facilities to enable our people access health services right at their doorstep. We must decongest our Sub hospitals and Referral by upgrading our health centers and dispensaries.” Said Lusaka
The County Boss challenged the new CECM for Health and Director Medical Services to work around the clock to achieve his campaign pledges on health within 5 years promising his full support.
Governor who was accompanied by Deputy Governor Pst. Jennifer Mbatiany and other senior County government officials congratulated Kimilili Sub-County hospital for noticable achievements and for the strategic plan.
