Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged the county’s Juakali sector to embrace unity as a key driver of their socio-economic empowerment and development.
“I will fully support you, but I urge you to embrace unity and teamwork, as that will yield success,” Governor Lusaka said during a consultative forum with Juakali representatives at his Kamukuywa residence.
He challenged the team to form a productive cooperative society (Sacco), offering to register it and provide a startup capital of Ksh 1 million.
“We will walk this journey together. I will help you register the Sacco and deposit a startup capital of Ksh 1 million to boost your business,” he added.
Governor Lusaka further pledged to support the Juakali sector by providing uniforms for the 800 registered members across all sub-counties.
Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany was also present at the forum.
