President Kenyatta thanked the residents of Machakos for their great reception and even highlighted the projects being done currently by the government. The projects include establishing a viable road network that will connect Nairobi to Machakos easily, and also projects that are meant to solve the persistent drought problems in the region, assuring that he will work with the people to solve the issues.
The event was graced by other dignitaries, including Deputy President William Ruto, who took a pop at Cord,”We should pray for you,” he said, citing their lack of a settled unity ahead of the upcoming general elections.
President Kenyatta insisted that it doesn’t matter who the next president is,as long as he is Kenyan, all is well, and he accepts any outcome, further relaying his message and insistence on the nation’s unity.
