Senate speaker Ken Lusaka’s Gubernatorial bid which has so far been christened second coming has received a boost after 35 MCAs in the Bungoma County assembly vowed to support him.
Led by the majority leader Joseph Juma Nyongesa, the MCAs reiterated that the current regime has under-performed hence the need to have the 1st governor come to retain it’s lost glory.
Hon. Nyongesa said they will be traversing all the forty five wards of Bungoma County to make it aware to the residents that all they have been yearning for will be fulfilled as speaker Lusaka will come back to finish all the stalled projects he started.
Khalaba MCA Majimbo Okumu said the current regime thrives in intimidation saying Bungoma people will no longer tolerate such.
Tongaren MCA Elly Tindi said many farmers were enjoying getting fertilizer from the County government but the number of bags given has since been slashed rendering them helpless.
Her sentiments were echoed by Lwandanyi ward MCA Tony Barasa who said casuals are also suffering as they have not been getting consistent pay despite having been allocated money in the budget.
Speaker Ken Lusaka has been tight lipped on the political party he intends to use in the forthcoming general election but indications point out to Ford Kenya party since he has been having a cordial relationship with the party leader Moses Wetangula.
