Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has urged the NASA team to change their campaign strategy if they want to scoop the presidency seat. Speaking at the burial of his grandfather Ineah Yalwala at Ebusiratsi in Emuhaya Sub County Malala said the four principals should not campaign together, suggesting each one of them should take their campaigns to their respective strong holds.

He said the same campaigning strategy they are using now failed in the last elections. “The NASA team should change their campaigning strategy and each should take up the challenge of campaigning in their strong holds if they want to win this seat,” Malala said.

He said Jubilee side has already started their campaigns which are well organized and run systemically. “Jubilee is ready on the ground campaigning all over and we need to be organized than them in our campaigning strategy,” the youthful Senator said.

Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Secretary Godfrey Osotsi said the Jubilee Government has failed Kenyans and must be sent home. Speaking at the same venue Osotsi noted that Kenyans have suffered a lot under the Jubilee regime. “I urge all Kenyans to come out in large numbers on 17th October and vote out this failed Government,” Osotsi reiterated.

He added that the Jubilee side has stated intimidating the Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials by withdrawing their security officers in order to expose them to threats, sentiments which were echoed by Vihiga County woman representative Beatrice Adagala.

Adagala said the Jubilee Government has resorted to using threats to frustrate the (IEBC) officials. “We are telling them that the electoral body is independent and it must be allowed to carry out its mandate without interference,” Adagala said.
