Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, confirmed the passing of Moses Malulu Injendi, the Member of Parliament for Malava Constituency. Malulu Injendi tragically passed away on the evening of February 17, 2025, at 5:15 PM after being admitted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
Malulu Injendi’s political journey was one of unwavering service and dedication. Serving the people of Malava for three consecutive terms, he was first elected in 2013, re-elected in 2017, and again in 2022. His contributions in Parliament, particularly his tireless work on the Departmental Committee on Education, Research & Technology and the Joint Committee on National Cohesion & Equal Opportunity (from 2013 to 2017), will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He worked to shape key policies aimed at improving education across the country and fostering national unity.
As Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education & Research, Malulu Injendi advocated for better educational standards, ensuring that schools in his constituency and across Kenya had access to necessary resources. His role in the Joint Committee on National Cohesion & Equal Opportunity demonstrated his commitment to bridging gaps and ensuring equal opportunities for all Kenyans, regardless of background.

Hon. Injendi was the Member for Malava Constituency and Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education & Research.”
He continued, “Hon. Injendi was serving his third term in Parliament, having served continuously since 2013. He was a dedicated and passionate representative who served his constituents with unwavering commitment and integrity. His tireless efforts, particularly in the Education sector and the sugar industry, aimed at improving the lives of Kenyan people, will be deeply missed.”
