The High Court has set the bail hearing for TV journalist Jacque Maribe and Joseph Irungu has been set for October 24th, next week Wednesday. The two, who will remain in remand till then, had previously denied any involvement in the murder of the late Monica Kimani. On Wednesday at the Milimani Law Courts, Judge James Wakiaga ordered the probation office to prepare a pre-bail report and share it with the defence team ahead of the bail hearing.
Judge Wakiaga has also warned the media concerning the reporting done about the murder case and urged the fourth estate to desist from the controversial reporting. Different reports have cropped up on the matter before court and personal life of the late Monica Kimani and the court ascertained that the reporting isn’t advisable for the case proceedings.
