Maseno, Mang’u, Upper Hill & Kakamega take the day
Maseno School thrashed Kangaru 21-3 in the Rugby 15’s in the ongoing Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association Term One “A” Games being held at Friends School Kamusinga.
The victor’s made converted tries from Ian Okanga, Shawn Andurate and Peter Muhusi while Kangaru scored the only penalty through Sydney Murimi.
Kangaru tactician Kelvin Kyalo said he would rectify the mistakes before the next match against Kakamega High.
Aberdare’s Mang’u high school bounced back to winning ways after losing 29-3 to Upper Hill on day one to record an important 21-6 win over Coastal champions St.Georges.
Kevin Macharia put Mang’u ahead with a penalty brace before St.Georges got a back through Muria’s penalty sending the game to half time at 6-3.
Mang’u started the second half on a shining note with left winger Onesmus Kibingati going to the sin bin but went ahead to score a try and a penalty through Macharia and Robert Kuke.
Kuke then convetted David Okeyo’s try as St.Georges’ final penalty by Muria was not enough for a comeback.

It was the second win of the tournament for the Nairobi boys as they completely dominated Bungoma High scoring two penalties in the first half and another one in other half.
George Ahayo scored the two penalties with John Mbugua bagging an unconverted try while Bungoma drilled home a penalty through Augustine Wekesa.
The Nairobi lads dominated the second half with Ahayo kicking a successful penalty to seal the fate of their opponents.
Kakamega touched down twice to hand Moi Sirgoi a first defeat of the campaign.
The unconverted tries came from Akwiri Ogula and Ephraim Oduor, while Moi Sergoi’s penalty was sent in by Leonard Kipchumba.
Friends School Kamusinga continued their quest for a 12th national hockey crown as they thumped Aberdare region’s Ndururumo Boys 3-1 to record a second successive win.
After captaining his team to a first tournament win against national champions Narok Boys on Monday, an elated Justine Ngetich said that the team is eager to once again reclaim the title they have over the years dominated.

In another hockey match, Narok Boys from the Mau region bounced back from its 1st loss to beat Lake Basin’s Maseno School by two goals to nil.
Misikhu girls of Nzoia region won their first two matches overcoming Kategi Girls and Moi Girls Nairobi by a two nil score line each.
It took extra time to separate the tie between Nzoia region champions Kapenguria Boys and Lake region’s Kisumu Boys after their thrilling contest ended in a 39-39 draw in normal time. Kapenguria saw off the Lake region champions 48-42 after extra time.
Coast region and basketball powerhouse Aga Khan defeated Highland Region’s Kangaru High School 48-39 to join Kapenguria Boys in booking a semi-final berth.
In the Girls’ category, Barichondo Girls of Lake region whitewashed Olgly from Northern region 93-2, Moi Girls from Mau region won 36-25 against Loretto Girls from Aberdare region while Kayatiwi from Coast region brushed aside Kirigara from Highland region 63-20.
