Mbale High School Principal Kennedy Okoth has died in a road accident in Nakuru on his way from Mombasa where he had attended the annual head of schools conference.
According to the Chairman of the Head of Schools Western region Mr. Albert Masiolo who is also the Principal of Senende High School, the vehicle Mr. Okoth was travelling in rammed into a stationary vehicle along Nakuru Kisumu road.
Masiolo said the teaching fraternity has lost a humble and hardworking member who for years he has transformed Mbale High School into a giant academically.
“Mr. Okoth was the Chairman of all Schools sponsored by the Quaker Church across the Western region, and he was determined to work with other heads of those schools to improve education standards in the said institutions,” Masiolo said.
The deceased rose through the ranks since joining the School in the early 90’s to be the School Principal. Mr. Okoth’s body has been moved from Nakuru to Kaimosi Jumuia Hospital morgue awaiting burial arrangements.
