A middle aged woman from Nandi county is being locked up in Kapsabet police cells over alleged brutal murder of her husband.
Sharon Kemboi who is the main suspect is said to have attacked her husband with a knife at their premise after a fight, killing him on the spot on allegations that he has been cheating on her.
According to the eye witness who tried to stop the fight between the two said the couple has been having disputes and that it was at that time that they engaged in a row over infidelity and stabbed him with a knife killing him on the spot.
The deceased Gedion Kemboi was a teacher at Siksik secondary school in Chesumei Nandi county.
The police officer in charge of Kapsabet police station Milkah Chemoss confirmed the incident saying the suspect is already in custody assisting the police with investigations.
Chemoss asked couples to find a better way of solving their marital problems rather than taking their lives saying every human being has a right to life and no one is allowed to take someone’s life at all.
The body of the deceased was retrieved from the scene and taken to Kapsabet county referral Hospital morgue awaiting postmortem.
