The national government through the Ministry of Education has allocated Kshs. 100 million to Chevaywa Technical Training Institute in Lugari Constituency, to facilitate the growth of the college.
According to the area MP Ayub Savula, the institute is critical in the provision of skills and competencies, critical for the development of hands-on workers and a skilled human resource base for national development.
Savula added the institute will be responsible for offering programmes that equip the graduates with quality and relevant skills and competencies to meet the needs of the labour markets, hence calling on locals to embrace it and enroll more students who will be fully sponsored through the Lugari NG-CDF.
Savula further revealed that the much awaited environmental impact assessment report from NEMA has been released, giving way for construction of a storey building that will accommodate more students.
