Leaders allied to Ford Kenya party in Trans Nzoia County Assembly have ousted the minority leader in the house Emmanuel Waswa Simiyu and his position replaced by nominated MCA Margaret Sabhina Wanjala who was his Deputy while elevating Motosiet MCA Benard Muganda Aliang’ana alias B-cool to deputize her.

According to Chief Whip of Ford Kenya party in the Assembly who doubles up as Sikhendu MCA Eric Musumba said the leaders made the move following the later’s association with the newly formed party Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) that is associated with Cabinet Secretary for Defence Eugene Wamalwa and Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi sentiments that were echoed by Sitatunga MCA Daniel Kaburu.

Kaburu noted that the former minority leader was ruthless and didn’t involve all leaders on the matters involving party affairs and that his solo approach in matters pertaining party affairs were also some of the reasons that aggravated leaders in ousting him.

“Our former minority leader was harsh, didn’t involve all leaders in matters affecting the party as well as used his position to benefit himself and not members.” Said Kaburu.

On her part, the new minority leader Margaret Sabhina Wanjala has promised to work together with all leaders involving them in matters affecting their affairs blaming his former boss for neglecting them when it came to matters pertaining the party.

She said the party was run without all leaders’ engagements as the former minority leader used his position in engaging in matters that were beneficial to him and not all members, blaming him for disrespecting
members as well as party leader Moses Wetangula.

The Deputy minority leader Benard Muganda appealed to the former minority leader to accept the verdict made by his former party members and avoid running to court as he will not succeed since the speaker has also communicated over his ouster.

“We are telling Waswa, let’s meet later in the fields and I appeal to him to accept the members verdict,” said Muganda.
