Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is thrilled to announce the reopening of Webuye Campus next month, marking a transformative shift towards a dedicated focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). After a five-year closure, this move promises to revitalize the campus and significantly impact regional education.
In a groundbreaking development, MMUST has secured a 99-year lease agreement with Bungoma County, facilitated by Governor Kenneth Lusaka. This strategic partnership ensures the campus’s future as a hub for specialized TVET programs.
James Sakwa, representing MMUST, highlighted that the campus will exclusively offer innovative diploma courses, including cutting-edge training in pedagogy. A standout feature of the revamped institution will be its new programs recognizing prior learning, designed to boost skill development and career advancement.
Governor Lusaka reaffirmed his commitment to the campus’s success, pledging substantial support for infrastructure development to ensure operational excellence and growth.
The reopening of Webuye Campus as a TVET center represents a significant leap forward in providing high-quality, practical education opportunities.
