A monitor lizard scatter congregation disrupting church service in Lugari

Monitor Lizard

Pandemonium broke out at Marakusi Pentecostal Assemblies of God ( PAG) church in Lugari  sub county after a monitor lizard  strayed  its way into the church and scattered the congregation  in all direction.

The church members were enjoying praise and worship songs when the uninvited guest came calling spreading fear and awe among them.

All the members took off as they scrambled for the only two doors of the church to run to safety as the creature moved around the church unperturbed to the consternation of the faithful.

“We were about 100 members and all of us scrambled for the two door the monitor lizard moved round the benches but lucky enough no one was injured,” said one of the women leader in the church.

Later the church pastor Rev. Oliver Lidiema  summoned courage and with aid of other church leaders  corner the strange guest and killed it.

Few members quickly converged and continued with service though in fear but on closing they were shocked to find the carcass missing from where they had thrown it.
