The youth Director has also encouraged youth aged between 18-29 to take advantage of the Kenya Youth Empowerment Project Programme (KYEOP) to register for various courses that are being offered so that they may be able to beat the hard economic hardships.
The KYEOP project targets youths who have completed fourth form to zero education and has seen many create employment for themselves or employed in various sectors.
He says they offer different courses ranging from plumbing, welding, hairdressing, catering among other courses and the advantage is that while they train they are paid a monthly stipend of six thousand shillings.
On completion of their six months training they are paid for their exams, offered certificates and even given grants of 20,000 to start businesses of which after 3 months of close monitoring another grant is topped up.
