Mosop constituency residents in Nandi County have decried the state of poor roads in the region and have asked the national government to withdraw contractor working on the roads, as a matter of urgency.
Speaking to West media, the residents cited the poor state of roads connecting Chepkober to Kaiboi, and Sang’alo to Kaiboi to Kipkaren to Turbo, which are impassable and have negatively affected transport activities.
They said the contractor who is currently on the site has done nothing and that the state of the roads hasn’t improved for the past three years. “Incompetent contractors should be fired and their companies should be deregistered their companies,” said Paul Kerich, one of the residents. He added that the residents have been seeking for a convenient mode of transport, and have been forced to use alternative routes.
