ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi has affirmed his support for Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, with the Ford Kenya party divided after a section of party leaders moved to announce his removal as party leader on Sunday morning. Wetangula then quashed the statement and the legality of the NEC meeting, subsequently suspending David Eseli and Wafula Wamunyinyi.

Hours afterwards, ANC party, through a statement from the party leader’s office condemned the ouster terming it a mischief, and pointed accusing fingers at COTU boss Francis Atwoli and ODM leader Raila Odinga. Mudavadi said the mischief has been in the making, and has been escalated in a number of meetings by Atwoli and the NASA leader, who remained unnamed in the statement, who intends to destroy and dominate everyone politically, “It’s calculated to invade and destabilize all independent minded political parties.”

He has urged Ford Kenya to remain firm in its resolve and to stand with the people of Kenya. He said ANC won’t succeed to political bribery and intimidation, “The axis of evil in the country has captured parliament and now holds it hostage, it is now invading political parties. They want to kill all platforms of democracy and good governance in the country.”
