Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed media reports linking him to a new party, saying he is under the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
This follows the launch of the party named Umoja Summit Party – USP, months after his ANC was absorbed by Kenya Kwanza.
The USP party was launched by politicians believed to be friends of Mudavadi and who are believed to have been directed by him to launch the party.
The USP was launched three days ago with Barack Muluka as the secretary general, Naomi Saidi as his deputy and Godfrey Kanoti as the party leader.
Mudavadi, however, said that throughout his involvement in politics, he has upheld integrity, honesty and respect as his style of doing things and not being a double-dealer.
The director of communications in Mudavadi’s office, Jacob Ng’etich, said the minister believes in unity and integration and his decision to accept the ANC’s absorption by UDA was voluntary and supported by members.
