Amani National Congress (ANC) party leade,r Musalia Mudavadi has been urged to tour Busia County and popularize the party ahead of the 2022 General Elections.
ANC Busia county Youth LEAGUE Organizing Secretary Stephen Ogumbo and the league’s Butula sub county chairperson Justine Wesonga say this is the right time for Mudavadi to visit the county and meet party officials and members, “Last time there were complaints from some members and aspirant on the party ticket that the party leader abandoned them. That’s why we are calling on him to come to Busia and meet the officials, members and even aspirants.”
They say this will strengthen the party in the county that is perceived to be ODM stronghold.
They have rallied behind his bid to be Kenya’s 5th president through next year’s elections, “We support him and are sure he will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta next year.”
They were speaking at Ochude village in Teso South constituency after attending the burial of Betty Ekasiba Otwane, mother to ANC youth league national Secretary General Susan Ekasiba.
Ogumbo also appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to use the handshake between them to alleviate lives of Kenyans instead of putting their self-interests first, “What we want from them is to ensure youths get jobs, economy is improved and development realized across the country instead of pushing for the agenda that stand to serve their self-interests.”
