Murkomen declares June 6th a public holiday for Eid al-Adha

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, has officially announced Friday, June 6th, a national public holiday.

The declaration, published today, June 4th, in the gazette notice, designates the day for the celebration of Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha, often referred to as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is a pivotal observance in the Islamic calendar.

Muslims globally commemorate this occasion by sacrificing an animal and distributing the meat among family, friends, and the less fortunate, embodying acts of love and compassion within the community.
