Bungoma County Amani National Congress party chairman Martin Waliaula has maintained a stand that their party leader Musalia Mudavadi is best suited and therefore needs to be endorsed as the coalitions flag bearer.
Addressing the press after meeting various party aspirants, Waliaula said after conducting their national delegates conference, they bestowed the mandate of running for the top seat to Musalia saying they still hold that he is the best suited in the coalition.
He added that under the coalition all the principals are equal and after bagging the leadership of the country they will invoke an act of parliament and form other posts that can be filled by the other principals saying Musalia will not deputize anyone in the coalition.
Roselinda Simiyu was also unveiled as the party’s candidate for the post of County woman representative and promised to deliver saying those who have held the position previously have failed to empower the residents under the affirmative action fund.
She promised a cruising battle ahead of the forthcoming general election saying the County needs a focused and determined leader who will be able to take the county to the next level in terms of development.
