Nandi County Imam Abubakar Sadala has called upon all the Muslim faithful from the region and across the globe to remember the less fortunate in the community by sharing together the little they have during this Holy Month of Ramadhan which kicked off officially on Tuesday.
Addressing journalists, Sadala urged them to share whatever they have with the poor in society so as to also feel appreciated during this celebrations.
He revealed that the Holy Month of Ramadhan is a Month of the Islamic Calendar observed by Muslims Worldwide as a Month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community thus should share what they have as they continue to mark the event.
Sadala moreover, urged all the political class to shun away from dirty politics and ensure that they preach peace by avoiding use of hate speech during their campaigns.
“I want to ask all those aspiring for various political posts both in Nandi and nationally to preach peace and make good choices during the 9th August polls.” Said Sadala
He asked the youth to avoid being misused by certain political aspirants to cause chaos and disrupt their opponents’ meetings adding that the law should take course hence find themselves in difficult situations.
