The County Assembly of Nandi has resumed its sittings after a very long recess period that was fueled by the Covid-19 pandemic. Speaking to WestFM in his office, the County Assembly speaker Hon Joshua Kiptoo said the house has resumed its sittings and the top agenda to tackle is the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) Bill which will be debated on in the house.
“The top agenda for the assembly is the BBI Bill which will be tabled before it proceeds to the legal affairs and justice committee. ” He affirmed.
Kiptoo added that the bill will be tabled in the assembly on Thursday whereby the committee will have a period of Thirty days to come up with a report, after public participation adding that what the public will say concerning the Bill whether yes or No will be implemented.
He has encouraged the public to turn up for the public participation forums which will be across the county so as to give out their views concerning the Bill, insisting that whatever they will decide will be heard and implemented.
