The County Assembly of Nandi has officially resumed its sessions after Covid-19 mass testing results for MCAs and Assembly staff came back negative. The employees have been on a one month compulsory leave after one MCA tested positive, prompting the closure of the Assembly.
The County speaker Joshua Kiptoo said the Assembly has resumed its normal duties and encouraged MCAs to continue observing the Ministry of Health guidelines on prevention of the spread of Covid-19. “I urge members and the entire general public to always wear masks, maintain social distance and adhere to regular hand washing in a bid to combat the spread of the disease,” he added.
