First lady, Margaret Kenyatta has officially handed over the 45th Beyond Zero Mobile Clinic to the County Government of Nandi under the leadership of the Governor Dr Cleophas Lagat.
Addressing the public at Kapsabet show grounds during the official handover of the clinic, the first lady Margaret Kenyatta said that all the clinics offer the very best to Kenyans thus urged women to come out and visit this clinics for screenings and for better services.
She said that the clinics aim at improving maternal and child health care advising women to utilize the facility well.

She added that the facility will bring maternity services closer to mothers and essential vaccinations for new born babies will be given promptly.
Margaret, who was invited to speak by the cabinet secretary of the ministry of health Dr Cleophas Mailu and other dignitaries from the both the National and county governments, gave a directive to women to go for cancer screening and for HIV testing and counseling to know their status.
She toured Kapsabet school for the deaf and Kapsabet referral Hospital maternity wing for a fact finding mission before she proceeded to Kapsabet show grounds where the handing over ceremony was conducted.
Those in attendance included over Fifteen first ladies from different counties of this Nation who turned up to give support to the First lady of the Nation for the good job is doing.

On the other hand, the Cabinet Secretary Dr Cleophas Mailu applauded the efforts by the first lady in ensuring that women and their kids are secure by offering this mobile clinics to assist them.
He stated that Nandi county is ranked number 31 countrywide in HIV and that about 20,000 people are affected, 48% being adults and 44% children thus urged every one to get tested.
He revealed that a total of 266 women in the region die during child birth yearly due to lack of proper mid wives as majority delivers at home thus urged women to make sure that they visit a hospital for delivery as it is much safer than home.
“Now this mobile clinic will give them quality maternal services,” she said.
