The County government of Nandi through the Ministry of Health has set up more measures in an attempt to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. Nandi Governor Stephen Sang while addressing the media affirmed that the County has put in place mechanisms to strictly enforce directives and guidelines issued by the government.
Governor Sang directed that any person who arrived in Nandi within the last 21 days from countries with reported cases of Covid-19 must use the County toll free number of 1548 to allow the emergency response team to continually monitor their conditions. He gave out a stern warning that action will be taken against any person who goes against the directives.
The Governor has also asked traders to avail the much needed affordable food stuff to residents and urged them to strictly adhere to sanitation measures as directed by the public health officers. He has also directed the Kapsabet Water and Sanitation Company not to cut water supply to homes and business premises.
