The County government of Nandi has procured a second batch of drugs worth Kshs 60 million to ensure health facilities across the County have adequate drugs and medical supplies.
The County Governor Stephen Sang cited that his government through the Ministry of Health procured the drugs from Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) and is slated to arrive in a week’s time.
Addressing residents at Kapkong’any primary school in Lelmokwo/Ngechek ward, Chesumei constituency during the homecoming ceremony of Nandi Education CEC Mr Stanley Baliach, the Governor said the procurement of the drugs is a fulfilment of his campaign pledge to improve and boost the healthcare sector in Nandi.
He asked residents to seek medical services from the County health facilities whenever needed because apart from availing sufficient drugs and medical supplies, services have also been improved.
He insisted that the drugs will arrive in the County latest next week and will be distributed to health facilities across the County to improve health services to the public adding that his government will do what it takes to transform Nandi.
