The County government of Nandi has received a donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) donations courtesy of Equity Bank. Speaking during the handing over of the PPEs at Nandi hills sub county hospital, the Equity Bank Group CCO Polycarp Igathe said the equipment will go along way in providing protection to health workers when handling Covid-19 patients. Igathe who was warmly received by the County government of Nandi led by Governor Stephen Sang, affirmed that their guiding philosophy as an institution is to transform lives and livelihoods.
He revealed that the number of Covid-19 patients recovering every day in Kenya is high and better than other powerful nations, and he lauded the efforts of front line workers. On the other hand, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang appreciated the institution for the donation, citing that as a County government, they’ll remain committed to the fight against the disease. He said his administration is partnering with different stakeholders to ensure there is enough resources in a bid to fight the pandemic and urged residents to continue observing the set guidelines to curb the spread of the virus.
