Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has urged farmers from across the County to focus on increasing food production during this planting season through diversification. Sang affirmed that his administration through the agriculture docket is working with farmers and cooperative societies to improve diversification and increase food production, especially given the possible strains that will be caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
He asked Nandi residents to work on their farms during this season, noting that the Coronavirus pandemic will lead to shortage of food. The Governor has availed tractors and specialized farm implements to cooperative societies and farmers in an effort to enhance diversification, increase production and embrace small holder agricultural commercialization in the County.
