The Nandi County Assembly football team was beaten thoroughly by the County executive football team, comprised of County executive members, 6-1 in a friendly football match played at Kapsabet Boys High School, which was aimed at creating a good working relationship between the two administrative bodies.
Nandi Sports CEC Elly Kurgat and the County Assembly speaker Joshua Kiptoo, speaking to West Media Limited after the match, affirmed that the friendly match between the two administrative arms was meant to create a good rapport.
Sportswise, they said the game has revealed their strengths and weaknesses even more, and they’ll go back to the drawing board ahead of the August ball games.
They added that as a County government, they are advancing renovations at Kipchoge Keino and Nandi Hills stadia, adding the renovated grounds will pave the way for the youth to use the facilities and explore their talents fully.
