The Nandi County administration under Governor Stephen Sang has embarked on the renovation and revamping of cattle dips across the County in order to promote livestock farming.
Speaking at Chepturer area in Aldai sub-county at the restructured Chepturer cattle dip, Governor Sang said his administration, through the Agriculture docket, has so far accomplished the renovation of about sixty cattle dips in Nandi.
He reiterated that his transformation agenda is ongoing and that the restructured plunge dips will help farmers deal with the pests infestations among their cattle, which has been a nagging issue.
Moreover, Governor Sang presided over the distribution of Acaricides, and he urged the recipients to use the pesticides well. He was accompanied by Agriculture Chief Officer Benaddate Tiony along with some members of the executive committee and MCAs from Aldai sub-county.
The Nandi Governor further revealed that his administration has set sights on promoting dairy farming and has purchased 40 motorbikes for Agricultural Extension Officers who’ll offer their services around the entire County, adding that they’ll also offer subsidized artificial insemination.
