The County government of Nandi has received another batch of drugs and medical supplies from Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) which will be distributed to all health facilities across the entire county by Thursday.
This is according to Nandi Governor Stephen Sang through the Health CEC Ruth Koech who cited that by Thursday the distribution of drugs and medical supplies to all the health centres across Nandi will be concluded.
Nandi County government had prior received a consignment of Kshs 60 million which was distributed to the two referral hospitals and all the health centres.
Speaking at Saniak dispensary in Mosop constituency where he went to witness the delivery of the drugs, Governor Stephen Sang accompanied by Health CEC Ruth Koech, said health will remain a key priority area according to his manifesto and he will continue transforming the sector to reach the required standards.
He cited that the distribution will curb the drug shortage in all health facilities and asked those in charge to be vigilant and ensure there is no theft of drugs by cartels in the facilities.
