The County Government of Nandi through the Department of Education and vocational training has reached an agreement with Finland based University known as EduSampo OY which runs several Universities across Finland this being the Nandi County work/study abroad program.
During the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the two at the County headquarters, Nandi governor Stephen Sang said the agreement is to open up education opportunities for Nandi residents to pursue their dreams in Finland.
Sang added that his administration is very keen in engaging different Institutions to provide study and work opportunities abroad for the residents urging them to utilize well the opportunity as it comes once.
“As the government we have reached an agreement with different Institutions in Finland in order to secure more opportunities for our youths.” Sang affirmed.
He revealed that under the County established work/study abroad program, they have managed to negotiate for several slots targeting Nurses and Clinicians with undergraduate qualifications continuing with preparatory Finish online classes thus through the partnership, the group will be accorded full placements after a period of six months studying the Finnish language.
The governor has called upon all the Nandi residents who need their children to study abroad to ensure they utilize this opportunity well.
