Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has called upon the youths across Nandi to shun away from dirty politics by not allowing themselves be used politically by political leaders whose aim is to gain selfish interests.
Sang cited that some of the youths in the region are being used politically to disrupt their counterparts’ meetings and heckle them whenever there is any political gathering a situation he termed as waywardness and should be brought to halt with immediate effect.
Sang affirmed that any political leader irrespective of their party affiliations and differences is free to visit Nandi or any part of this country without stumbling blocks, saying Nandi county is welcoming everybody as it is a peaceful county.
“I want to assure all the politicians from across the nation who intend to come to Nandi to sell their political agenda that they are highly welcomed.” He affirmed.
The Governor revealed that Nandi being a cosmopolitan region is peaceful because as Nandi leaders have resolved to maintain peace before, during and after the 2022 polls.
“We need a peaceful nation and it is the duty of every leader and everybody to uphold peace always.” He added.
The Governor was addressing the public during the county worker’s end of year prayer breakfast whereby he called upon all the residents to consider the lesser in the society during this festive.
