Nandi governor Stephen Sang has told off his competitors that there is no room for them if their agenda is to lay off some employees and smash their salaries on grounds that Nandi government is facing a huge wage bill.
Sang cited that his competitors slogan is that his administration is facing a huge challenge of wage bill and thus they will reduce it if elected as governors, wanting them not to look at the wage bill but the quantity of work that these employees are doing.
“My competitors’ slogan is telling us that the wage bill is high in Nandi. I want them to look at the quantity of the work that these workers are giving not the wage bill,” Sang said.
The governor affirmed that ECDE teachers are not contributing to the huge wage bill and to him as a governor will better their terms saying that his commitment is to transform their lives through better terms of service.
“One of the most important cardinal principle of any government is to provide the services first then development and my administration will exactly do that.” He added.
He asked Nandi residents not to listen to candidates whom their campaign strategy is based on reducing the number of county employees and the wage bill when elected.
